UBC Hospital Koerner Pavilion MDRD Renovation

Completed in July of 2016, the UBCH Koerner Pavilion MDRD project (Medical Device Reprocessing Department) involved the renovation of 3 distinct areas within the MDRD area and required a phased approach to the construction and completion timing in order to maintain operation of the critical MDRD functions. The alterations focused mainly on the replacement of the main cart washer, 3 instrument washers and pass-through but also included relocation of the MDRD office and the rough-in for a new Rotomat storage unit. The sterilization equipment was replaced in an enlarged rough-in clean/dirty demarcation wall and enlarged floor pit that suited the increased dimensional requirements of the new equipment.
